Statistical Register of Business
Statistical Register of Business (SRB) functions within the Statistics Agency of Kosovo and shall include all businesses that operate within the economic territory of Kosovo.
SRB is based on the Law No. 04/L-036 on Official Statistics of the Republic of Kosovo and the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 177/2008 on the Establishment of the Business Register for statistical purposes, which establishes a common framework for the creation of harmonized registries for statistical purposes, serving as a tool for the preparation and coordination of surveys, as a source of information for statistical analysis of population and business demographics, use of administrative data, for identifying and establishing statistical units.
SRB so far it does not include: Public Administration, Non-profit organizations and international organizations and bodies. But under the Regulation on the registers as mentioned above we hope that by the end of this year these categories of enterprises will be included in the SRB.
This register is based on the data received from the Business Registration Agency in Kosovo (BRAK), Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) and statistical surveys performed by SAK that are associated with businesses.

RSB main variables are grouped into:
RSB, legal form, ownership, name, address, communication (phone, fax, etc..)
The main economic activity, according to staff size, geographic location
Creation date, closure date (termination)
Activity status (active or inactive), the economic activity of enterprise (based on the Nomenclature of Economic Activities, NACE), the number of employees, addresses, variables of communication (phone, fax, e-mail).
Information on turnover and number of employees
Along with other variables, RSB also includes the value of turnover while the enterprise is active obtained from the Tax Administration and is updated annually.
Also KTA data calculate the average number of employees during the enterprise was active and is updated annually.
The data published by SRB
A quarterly periodical publication called "Statistical Repertoire of Enterprise in Kosovo", which contains statistical tables on businesses in Kosovo, is available on the website of the Statistical Agency.
Confidentiality of data
Violating the confidentiality of statistical data is prohibited pursuant to Article 45 of Law No. 04/L-036 for confidentiality of data, which requires publication of data only as grouped and in this way maintaining the confidentiality of data.
